Street Crimes Division Finds Narcotics, Firearms at Residence on San Antonio Street

On Wednesday, May 17, 2017, investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division and Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) executed a Search and Arrest Warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of San Antonio Street. 

The warrant, issued by Justice of the Peace Judge Fred Buck, named 26-year-old Jacob A. Gonzales to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.  Gonzales and another subject, 31-year-old Shawna Shipley, were located at the residence and detained.    

During a search of the residence, investigators located and seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, and quantity of suspected heroin, ten (10) firearms, and an assortment of narcotics distribution paraphernalia.  

Gonzales was charged with First Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1.  Shipley was charged with Third Degree Felony Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, State Jail Felony Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, and Felon in Possession of Firearm.  Both were transported to the Tom Green County Jail. 

The Department’s Patrol Division and the Tactical Physicians Team assisted with the operation.
