At approximately 3:45 p.m. this afternoon, San Angelo Police and Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the Concho River behind the 1500 block of River Ridge Lane for the report of a possible deceased person in the water.
With the assistance of the Department's Lake Police, the body was retrieved from the water and positively identified as 55-year-old Grady Bryan, the subject of an Endangered Missing Person Alert issued yesterday morning. Police were alerted to Bryan's location on the river by a volunteer who was assisting with the search.
Justice of the Peace Kay Longest responded to the location and pronounced Bryan deceased. At this time, the cause of death has not been determined. Bryan's body was transported to Lubbock for autopsy.
Police Chief Tim Vasquez responded to notify Brayan's family and to address the media at the scene.
Bryan's wife reported him missing on Monday evening after he went for a walk and never returned. He was deemed endangered due to a medical condition.
