A San Angelo man has been arrested for Aggravated Robbery after threatening a victim with a box cutter.
On July 25, 2015 at 7:50 pm, Officer T. Burks was dispatched to a report of a robbery in the 600 block of Era. Officer Burks met with the 34 year old female victim and learned the robbery had occurred at the EZ Pawn located at 2018 S Bryant.
Through the investigation it was learned the victim had been shopping at EZ Pawn. When she exited the store, the victim observed a male subject enter her vehicle and remove items. The victim attempted to get her property back from the subject and he held out a box cutter knife and threatened the victim. The victim was able to provide a description of the suspect's vehicle and a license plate.
During the investigation the suspect was identified as James Casey DOB 10-6-60. Officer B. Gesch and Officer J. Fisher made several attempts to locate Casey and ultimately located him in the lobby of Motel 6 located at 4205 S Bryant.
Casey was in the vehicle the victim had described and the victim's property was located inside along with the box cutter knife.
Casey was arrested and transported to the Tom Green County Jail where he was charged with Aggravated Robbery.
