Investigation Results in Multiple Arrests, Vehicles and Property Recovered

During the evening of September 26, 2018, officers with the Anti-Crime Unit (ACU), Narcotics Division, Criminal Investigation Division (CID), and Patrol coordinated a series of investigations that led to multiple arrests and the recovery of stolen truck and boat.

Investigators with the Narcotics Division provided intelligence to the ACU about a possible vehicle associated with thefts of trailers in the San Angelo area.

Members of the ACU detained the vehicle at the Walmart at 3440 S. Bryant Blvd after confirming that one of the occupants, Kendell Stasey, 20 years old, had a criminal trespass warning from that property.  After being arrested for that offense, Stasey was found to be in possession of marijuana.

The driver of the vehicle, 24 year old Colby Hawkins, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a quantity of methamphetamine.

Investigation with these subjects led members of CID to a stolen vehicle being operated by Henry Perez, 42.  Further investigation led to the recovery of a stolen boat in the 800 block of W. Avenue X.

At the end of the investigation, the arrests were as follows:

Kendell Stasey: Class B Possession of Marijuana, Class B Criminal Trespass, Class C Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Colby Hawkins: Third Degree Felony Possession of Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 1-4g, Class B Possession of Marijuana, Class C Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Henry Perez: State Jail Felony Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle

More charges will likely follow.
