<p>Traffic Signal down at the intersection of Abe and Beauregard</p><p> </p><p>San Angelo, Texas [August 7, 2012] ? Workers will soon begin repairing the traffic light at Abe</p><p>and Beauregard after a vehicle crash recently knocked down the pole and control cabinet.</p><p>A signal contractor working for the City has ordered the parts necessary to replace the pole and</p><p>cabinet, and repairs are scheduled to begin Thursday or Friday.</p><p> </p><p>The crash occurred on July 29 and crews were able to restore temporary power to the remaining</p><p>signals, allowing them to place the red lights in a flash pattern. They also added a temporary stop</p><p>sign to create an all-way stop at this intersection, which will remain in place until a new signal</p><p>pole and control cabinet are installed.</p><p> </p><p>A permanent electrical connection is scheduled to be in place on Wednesday, which will help</p><p>alleviate the power failure issues with the temporary solar system. The new pole and control</p><p>cabinet should be operational within 18 to 21 days after repairs begin.</p><p> </p><p>Drivers should use caution when approaching this intersection and obey posted traffic signs.</p><p> </p><p>###</p>
