Arrest of Suspected Porch Pirate

Donald Hubbard (43) is charged with mail theft after being caught on a homeowner's security camera taking packages from a front porch on November 25th in the 2800 block of Freeland.

He was charged with a Class A Misdemeanor for the mail theft and received an additional charge of controlled substance.

SAPD Detectives have worked vigorously over the last week to identify this individual and coordinated with the SAPD Anti Crime Unit, Gang Unit, and the Patrol Division to take him into custody.

This arrest is the result of a successful partnership between our residents and the San Angelo Police Department and highlights the value of installing crime prevention technology like the Ring Doorbell and/or security cameras.

While this case was ultimately solved due to the hard work of Detective Barker, we are so appreciative to all who assisted in the apprehension of this suspect.
