Pedestrian Deceased after Being Struck by Vehicle

On Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at approximately 7:06a.m. San Angelo Police were dispatched to the 1100 blk of N. Bell Street to a report of a pedestrian having been struck by a vehicle. Investigation at the scene indicated that 23 yr old Diego Reyes Mar was walking south bound in the middle of the roadway in the 1100 blk of N Bell Street. While walking south bound he stepped in front of a north bound vehicle. The vehicle, a 2014 Gray Kia struck Mar causing incapacitating injuries to Mar. Mar was transported to Shannon Hospital by ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries. Officer J. Welch with the SAPD traffic division is investigation this incident. Next of Kin has been notified.
