The San Angelo Police Department has been made aware of an unknown person contacting families via telephone and advising them that they have been selected for this years "Blue Santa" program.
This is not correct and we want to make the public aware that we will not contact anyone via telephone regarding being selected for the "Blue Santa" program. We would also like to inform the public that the selection process for the children/families for the program is directly handled by SAISD Counselors as well as the "At Risk"
Coordinators at SAISD elementary schools.
The children/families selected for the program will be notified by a letter that is delivered by a San Angelo Police Officer this coming week.
