On Monday March 28, 2016, the San Angelo Police Department will be hosting the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training.
This presentation is designed to help civilians understand what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training, designed and built on the AVOID, DENY, DEFEND strategy developed by ALERT, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of law enforcement, and civilian response options.
The training will be held at Central High School's Sarah Bernhardt Theatre located at 655 Caddo Street. The training will begin at 7:00 pm and last approximately one hour. There is no need to register to attend this training. This training will be open to the public ages 16 and older and is free.
