Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are searching for suspects who shot a San Angelo man in an apparent drug-related robbery Thursday night.
Just before 8:30 p.m. on January 24, 2019, San Angelo Police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of N. Madison Street for the report of a 23-year-old male shooting victim.
Upon arrival, Officers located the victim suffering from injuries he sustained in an assault as well as a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and is said to be in stable condition.
During the investigation, Officers observed evidence of drug paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of narcotics and marijuana. Further investigation by the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Street Crimes Division suggests the victim appeared to have been assaulted and robbed in connection to drug-related activity.
The suspects, described as one un-masked blonde white male with a mustache and three masked-men, have not been identified.
