San Angelo Police apprehended three teens who burglarized a house in a Northwest San Angelo neighborhood last night, thanks to an alert citizen.
Police were dispatched to a residence in the 2900 block of Abilene Street just after 8:00 p.m. after a witness called to report suspicious activity by three juveniles on a live-streaming surveillance camera, followed by the sound of a window breaking at a neighboring house.
Upon arrival, Officers located evidence of forced entry. They also located and detained three subjects nearby who matched the descriptions of the juveniles caught on video entering the property. The subjects, three 14-year-old males, were in possession of electronics and other property that was stolen from the residence.
Pursuant to the field investigation, the suspects were arrested for Burglary of Habitation and subsequently transported to the Tom Green County Juvenile Justice Center. The stolen property was returned to the victim.
This is another great example of Police-Community Partnership in San Angelo.
