A 32-year-old San Angelo man was air-lifted to a San Antonio hospital early this morning after he was shot in the leg by an acquaintance at a residence in the 3200 block of North Street.
Officers were dispatched to the residence around 2:20 a.m. for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located the victim who was sitting in the doorway, bleeding from his leg. Officers applied a tourniquet until medics arrived and assumed first aid measures. The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center and later flown to San Antonio. His current condition and extent of injuries is unknown.
