On 4/5/22 around 8:15pm, Officers with the SAPD Anti-Crime Unit observed a green in color Chrysler Passenger car being operated by a known wanted subject (Domingo Gomez 25 yoa.)
SAPD’s Anti-Crime Unit attempted to conduct a stop on the vehicle in the 700blk of West Ave D but Gomez evaded in the vehicle and ultimately crashed in the 600blk of Spencer Street. Gomez then continued to evade from officers on foot and a perimeter was quickly established by responding officers.
SAPD’s K-9, Gang Unit, and Patrol Division assisted with attempting to locate Gomez but were unsuccessful in taking him into custody. Two other occupants of the vehicle (a 22 year old Male and Female) were initially detained but were released at the conclusion of investigation.
Multiple pieces of identifying information, drug paraphernalia, narcotics, and a firearm were located inside of the vehicle and they were seized pending further investigation.
No officers or civilians were injured during the course of this investigation and only minor damage was reported from the crash to a fence and home.
