Suspect’s Charge in Paulann Shooting Upgraded to Murder after Husband Dies

June 6, 2020 – The 53-year-old man injured in yesterday’s domestic violence-related shooting in the Paulann subdivision succumbed to his injuries earlier today.  He has been identified as Antonio Fletcher. 

The original charge of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon Causes Serious Bodily Injury Family Violence for 38-year-old suspect Lisa Clemons has been upgraded to Murder.  

Clemons is being held in the Tom Green County Jail.  Bond has not been set.

Previous Release: Woman Charged in Domestic Violence Shooting Investigation in Paulann 

June 5, 2020 — A 38-year-old San Angelo woman has been charged with Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon Causes Serious Bodily Injury Family Violence following a shooting investigation in the 1200 block of Daniel Street. 

Police were initially requested to the residence by the suspect, Lisa Clemons, for a reported domestic dispute.  During the call, San Angelo Public Safety Communications received a second call from a neighbor who reported gunfire in the area.  

Arriving officers located the victim, a 53-year-old male relative of Clemons, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  The man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.  He is reported to have life-threatening injuries.  No other persons were reported injured. 

Additional charges are pending the outcome of this ongoing investigation.
