Shooting Investigation results in Arrest

San Angelo, TX (4/5/23 8:31am): A 59-year-old male is in custody after a shooting investigation yesterday evening on the Northside of San Angelo. A 32-year-old male was found to be suffering from a single gunshot wound and was transported by the SAFD to Shannon Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect (Donald Spradley) was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was transported to the Tom Green County Jail.

The SAPD was dispatched to the 600blk of N. Jackson yesterday evening around 8:28pm in reference to Welfare check. Officers made contact with a 32-year-old male and observed that the male had an apparent gunshot wound to the area near his left shoulder. Officers learned that the shooting occurred at a residence in the 1000blk of N. Monroe and officers responded to that location to secure that scene.

SAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division arrived on scene and learned that the suspect was 59-year-old Donald Spradley. It was learned that Spradley was possibly still at the residence on N. Monroe and Officers were able to make contact with him through a patrol vehicle’s “PA” (Public Address) system. After a short period of time, Spradley exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident.
