SAPD Officers Engineer Plan to Recover Stolen Work Truck

May 30, 2018 — shortly after the noon hour, San Angelo Police conducted a Felony Take Down on the driver of a stolen work truck in the 5300 block of Sherwood Way.

The white 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, owned by SKG Engineering, was reported stolen at approximately 10:30 a.m. from the Shell Fuel station located at 107 S. Abe Street.  The truck’s driver reportedly left the key in the ignition.

Officers worked with representatives from SKG to attempt to pinpoint the truck’s whereabouts and developed information about a possible location.  Responding Officers converged on the area and quickly engineered a plan to apprehend the driver, who was later identified as Jonathan Briseno, 23, of San Angelo.

Briseno was arrested for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle and booked into the Tom Green county Jail.
