San Angelo Man Using Fake Facebook Profiles to Lure Women Arrested

This morning, members of the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division executed a Search and Arrest Warrant at a residence in the 3100 block of W. Beauregard.

The warrant, issued by District Judge Jay Weatherby, named 44-year-old Danny Juarez as a suspect who recently threatened to publish intimate visual materials of a female victim.  Juarez was located at the residence and taken into custody without incident.

Following a formal interview at Police Headquarters, Juarez was transported to the Tom Green County Jail and charged with Publish/Threat to Publish Intimate Visual Material, which is a State Jail Felony punishable by confinement of up to two years.

Juarez has been named as a person of interest in additional investigations as a subject that is contacting women through fake Facebook profiles to offer tattoo services as well as plaster-cast pregnancy belly, breasts, and genitalia molds and cakes in exchange for payment.  In some incidents, Juarez obtained photographs of his victims’ breasts and then threatened to publish them if the victims do not comply with his demands.

Additional charges may be forthcoming pending the outcome of these ongoing investigations.
