The men and women of the San Angelo Police Department would like to say thank you for choosing to make an online report. By making an online report you do more than just report a crime. You become part of helping to keep patrol officers available more often so they can respond rapidly to emergency calls for service. This in turn helps to keep our community safe. Again, on behalf of the San Angelo Police Department we thank you for making an online report! 24 Hour Service The online reporting service can be accessed 24 hours a day seven days a week from any internet connected computer.
Information Security All the information you enter in the online reporting service is encrypted and then transferred to our internal servers. This means your information is safe and secure.
Please be advised that the information you submit to Coplogic is hosted by them until transferred to SAPD.
Before you begin your report please read the following information about what can and can’t be reported online. If you have an emergency please call 9-1-1 If the following factors are present don’t make an online report! 1. The crime you are reporting is currently in progress. 2. The suspect who committed the crime is still on scene. 3. There is evidence left by the suspect, or if there is evidence of the crime still on scene. 4. You are reporting a crime which did not occur within the San Angelo City Limits. What is NOT reportable Online. · Violent crimes- Family Violence, Assaults where there is injury, Kidnapping, Robbery, ect · Sex Crimes- rape, sexual assault, etc · Stolen Vehicles · Lost or Stolen License Plates · Traffic Accidents · Child Abuse What is reportable Online. The following crimes can be reported. CLICK ON THE APPROPRIATE CRIME TO START YOUR REPORT Ø Simple Assault: If the assault does not involve a family member, or a dating relationship and it only consists of (unwanted contact, or threats of non-serious bodily injury). Also you did not suffer any visible injuries, pain, or need medical treatment. Ø Theft: Where the value of the items taken is less than $1500.00 dollars, and the suspect is unknown. Firearms can not be reported stolen online and neither can materials which are hazardous to public safety i.e. (explosives, or highly toxic substances) Ø Burglary of a Motor Vehicle: Burglaries to vehicles where there is no suspect information and no evidence to collect. Ø Garage Burglaries: Where there is no forced entry, no evidence to collect, and no suspect information. Ø Criminal Mischief (Vandalism): Where the suspect is unknown and it is not considered a hate crime. Ø Harassing Phone Calls: Where there is no suspect information. Ø Lost Property Reports Ø Identity Theft: Where there is no suspect information or the suspect is not local. Ø Debit Card/Credit Card Abuse: Without evidence to collect and the suspect is unknown. After, you make your report it will be reviewed by a police officer. The police officer reviewing your report may reject your report back to you if there is a problem (lack of detail, not reportable online, ect.) Once, your report is submitted you will be able to print the information you entered. This is not the official report!
