On Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at nearly 4:00 a.m., San Angelo patrol officers investigated the report of a male breaking into San Jacinto Elementary School, 820 Pulliam. The investigating officers located a broken window on the north side of the school and Officer Tim Coffman saw a male inside of the school building. The suspect ran out of the south side of the building and he was taken into custody by Officer Chris Morris. Only minor damage was done to the school and the officers' quick response appeared to prevent the suspect from stealing any school property.
The suspect, Fabian Gomez (11-17-87) of San Angelo, was booked into the Tom Green County Jail for Burglary of a Building.
