December 16, 2019 — Investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit are conducting a death investigation of an 8-month-old San Angelo girl.
Just before 12:30 p.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to the Bella Vista Apartments located in the 4100 block of Ben Ficklin Drive for the report of an unconscious, unresponsive baby.
Justice of the Peace J.P. McGuire also responded and requested the child’s body be sent to the Lubbock County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy — a standard for unknown causes of death in children younger than ten years of age.
This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released when it becomes available.
