On 10/15/22 at 8:30 pm, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Knickerbocker and Industrial in reference to an accident involving a motorcycle and a passenger car. Officers arrived on the scene and located a 20-year-old male (who was operating the motorcycle) and observed that he had incapacitating injuries. SAFD medics arrived on the scene and transported the male to Shannon Medical Center in critical condition. The driver of the passenger car was not injured and was not transported to the hospital.
Members of the San Angelo Police Department’s Traffic Unit and Crime Scene Division responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. It was learned that the motorcycle operator was traveling Eastbound in the 2100 block Knickerbocker at a high rate of speed and then collided with a Silver in color Honda Civic in the intersection.
This accident is still currently under investigation, and additional information will be released at a later point in time.
