Weekend Death Investigation in Paulann Subdivision

On Saturday, April 28, 2018, San Angelo Police were dispatched to a residence in the 2800 block of McGill Boulevard for the report of dead bodies inside the residence.

The deceased, a man believed to be in his sixties and a woman believed to be in her mid-forties, were discovered inside a bedroom by Fire Department personnel after authorities were notified about a foul odor emitting from the residence.  The couple appeared to have been deceased for several days.  Their identities are not being released at this time.

Detectives with the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division responded to the residence along with Crime Scene Investigations.  During the preliminary field investigation, Detectives located evidence to support the couple committed suicide.

The bodies of the deceased were transported to Lubbock for autopsy at the request of Justice of the Peace Fred Buck.  A preliminary review of the bodies and evidence by the Medical Examiner’s Office supports the Investigative Team’s theory; however, final cause and manner of death are pending the outcome of the autopsies.

This is an ongoing investigation and no further information is available at this time.
