Warrant Arrest Leads to Narcotic Charges

On 4/6/22, Detectives with the SAPD’s Street Crimes Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2300blk of Chestnut Street. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Timothy Martinez (36yoa) and he was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

During the arrest and subsequent follow-up investigation, it was determined that Martinez was in possession of 1.93 pounds of Methamphetamine, 5.4 ounces of Marijuana, $1,490.00 in cash, and “2” handguns. The narcotics and firearms were seized pending further investigation.

Martinez was transported to the Tom Green County Jail for his outstanding warrant and additional charges are pending at this time.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA,) City Marshals, and SAPD’s Patrol Division assisted with this investigation.
