On 5/25/22 around 12:46am. Officers were dispatched to Shannon South in reference to a shooting victim. Officers arrived on scene and learned that a 30 year old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso.
Officers were able to obtain information from the victim and learned that the shooting had taken place at a residence in the 1900blk of Dena. Officers secured the residence and both SAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Division arrived on scene to assist.
Paul Zipper (51 yoa) was identified as a suspect during the course of the investigation and he was located, detained, and was interviewed that morning by a Detective. Paul was taken into custody on 5/27/22 for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly weapon.
This investigation is currently ongoing and further information will be released as it is obtained.
