Press Release #121514(07) Police Search for Driver who Injured Man in Hit and Run

San Angelo Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene of a Hit and Run crash in the 600 block of South Chadbourne Street early Sunday morning.

 

At approximately 1:53 a.m. Sunday morning, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the report of a major motor vehicle accident in the 600 block of S. Chadbourne St.  Upon arrival, officers located a 37-year-old male victim who had been struck by a vehicle.  The man was transported to Shannon Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.  His current condition is unknown. 

 

The man was crossing the street in the 600 block of S. Chadbourne St. from west to east when a white passenger car struck him while traveling north in the outside lane.  The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render aid to the victim and continued north on Chadbourne St. without stopping.

 

Witnesses describe the suspect's vehicle as a white 4-door passenger car, possibly a Pontiac Grand Am missing some or all of its hub caps.  The vehicle may also have some damage to the front and/or right side of the vehicle.
