Around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2020, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Grape Creek Road for the report of a shooting victim.
Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old man lying in a driveway suffering from gunshot wounds and other injuries sustained in an apparent assault. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance. His injuries were said to be non-life threatening.
The victim was initially located by a construction crew that was working nearby after they heard someone calling out for help. One of the workers rendered first aid until first responders arrived.
This is an active investigation and no other information is available for release at this time.
