Concho Pearl Ice House Stabbing Suspect Apprehended

October 4, 2019 — The 37-year-old man wanted in connection to the September 12, 2019 double stabbing at the Concho Pearl Ice House has been arrested. 

This morning, San Angelo Police and Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office officials developed information about Robert Espinosa Garcia Jr.’s whereabouts.  He was located around 10:30 a.m. at a residence in the 100 block of North Emerick Street and taken into custody without incident. 

Garcia had a warrant of arrest for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon as well as a Parole Violation Warrant.

Suspect Named in Concho Pearl Ice House Double Stabbing

 

September 12, 2019— The San Angelo Police Department is seeking the whereabouts of 37-year-old Robert Espinosa Garcia Jr., AKA “Blunt”, in connection to an early morning double stabbing that left two San Angelo men seriously injured. 

Just after 12:00 a.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to the Concho Pearl Ice House located at 1605 S. Chadbourne Street for the report of a fight in progress with a knife involved.  

Upon arrival, officers located two male victims, ages 18 and 37, who were suffering from apparent stab wounds.  Both men were transported to a nearby hospital where they underwent emergency surgery for serious injuries.  They are reportedly in serious and critical condition respectively. 

Detectives with the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division responded and learned the two victims, Concho Pearl Ice House employees, were stabbed just outside the bar as they attempted to break up a fight between Garcia and several other males.  Garcia reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle.
