Reagan James Holland, 26, and Dusty Cabel Lamb, 46, of San Angelo were booked into the Tom Green County Jail early this morning. Both men were charged with Burglary of Habitation with Intend Other Felony.
The arrests came following interviews with the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division after the pair allegedly robbed and assaulted a 44-year-old San Angelo man over the course of several hours at a residence in the 500 block of W. 17th Street yesterday.
Police located the pair at the residence around 11:45 p.m. after authorities were dispatched for the report of an assault. The victim, who was located asleep in a bedroom, was bleeding and suffering from wounds consistent with an assault. The man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and reportedly told Officers they saved his life.
During the investigation, Officers learned the victim was at the residence visiting a female friend who rents the property when Holland and Lamb arrived, entered the residence, and ordered both victims to hand over their personal property before Holland and Lamb repeatedly assaulted the male victim while displaying a firearm. The woman was not injured.
Police recovered the alleged handgun at the scene.
This is an ongoing investigation.

Just before 2:00 p.m. this afternoon, San Angelo Police responded to the Burger King restaurant located at 102 N. Abe Street for the report of a vehicle crash with the building.
Traffic units responded and located a white 1995 Crown Victoria crashed through the south side of the restaurant adjacent to the women’s restroom. The driver, an 82-year-old San Angelo man and his 72-year-old female passenger, advised police they were not injured; however the couple was evaluated at the scene by Fire Department personnel for precaution. Both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The driver advised he was attempting to park in the parking lot when his foot slipped off the brake pedal and onto the gas pedal.
Fire Department personnel also assessed the building for potential electrical fire activity after employees’ smelled smoke coming from the women’s restroom, which was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
City Code Inspectors were summoned to the scene and later determined the building was not structurally sound for dine-in patrons.
Burger King Officials advised the drive-through will remain open for customers but the dining area would be temporarily closed.
Preliminary damage to the building was estimated at $25,000.

A 41-year-old woman was arrested for Felony 2 Burglary of Habitation after being caught inside someone else’s home in a Santa Rita neighborhood Monday night.
At about 6:00 p.m. yesterday, San Angelo Police responded to the 1000 block of W. Avenue D for the report of a suspicious woman who had been previously seen in the area asking Santa Rita residents for money and trying to open doors.
Upon arrival, an Officer spoke with a witness who presented a cell phone picture of the suspicious woman. The woman, who matched the clothing and physical description of the previous reports, was barefoot and wearing a black ankle monitor.
After searching the immediate area, Officers received information that a door to a nearby residence in the 500 block of S. Washington was open. That door was observed to be closed by an Officer upon initial response and the house was in the immediate area of where the suspect was last observed.
While conducting a sweep of the residence, Officers observed random opened doors, drawers, and cabinets throughout the house. Officers located the woman hiding in a closet on the second floor. The woman was identified as Linda Ann Peterson.
During the field investigation, it was determined Peterson was wearing clothing belonging to the homeowner. No forced entry was located.
Peterson was transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident. In addition to the Burglary charge, Peterson was booked on an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant.
Police would like to remind citizens to be vigilant, secure their personal property, and report suspicious activity to Police Dispatch at (325) 657-4315, or to 9-1-1 for crimes in progress.

At approximately 8:40 a.m. this morning, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the area of First Baptist Church in the unit block of E. Harris Avenue to assist DPS Troopers Alderete and McCary in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
Responding units converged on the area and learned the suspect abandoned the stolen vehicle in front of the church annex, fled on foot, and ran inside the First Christian Church located at 29 N. Oakes Street. The Troopers reportedly searched the church and met a witness who said the suspect ran back out of the church northbound on Oakes Street towards the Central Freshman Campus.
Coincidentally, SAPD Cold Case Detective Jim Coleman and DPS Texas Ranger Philip Kemp, who were working together on an unrelated case, were monitoring radio traffic regarding the chase when they suddenly observed a man who matched the description of the fleeing suspect at 7th and Oakes. The duo apprehended and detained the man.
Troopers Alderete and McCary took custody of the man and confirmed he was in fact the suspect who fled from them. The man was identified as Tommy Gutierrez, 33, of San Angelo.
The Troopers advised the initial pursuit began after the owner of the vehicle flagged them down and said a man just stole his truck, which had been parked outside the Angry Cactus restaurant located at I W. Concho. During the chase, Gutierrez fled at excessive speeds through Downtown San Angelo. At one point, Gutierrez left the roadway and drove onto the sidewalk near Myer’s Drug where he collided with two Handicap signs. No one was injured during the pursuit.
Gutierrez was transported to the Tom Green County Jail and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Evading Arrest Detention with Vehicle. Gutierrez was issued Citations for No Driver’s License, Fail to Control Speed, and Fail to Stop and Leave Information upon Striking a Fixture.

Yesterday, San Angelo Police arrested Edward Virgen, 46, during a suspicious vehicle investigation in the unit block of E. 12th Street.
Virgen, who was wanted on an outstanding Federal Warrant, was identified as the driver of a vehicle that was the subject of an investigation that began around 2:30 p.m. yesterday when Police were dispatched to the area for the report of suspicious activity with the vehicle’s occupants. A passenger inside the vehicle, Melinda Fernandez, 37, was also arrested for three outstanding warrants.
During a search of the vehicle incident to arrests, Officers located several suspected stolen motel/hotel key cards, several flashlights, a toy gun, and two pellet guns, which were highly realistic copies of firearms.
Virgen and Fernandez were transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident where Virgen is being detained on a US Marshal Hold. Fernandez was released after posting Bond.
A third occupant was identified and released at the scene.
