Street Crimes Warrant Yields Marijuana, Meth, Hummer

On Wednesday, May 17, 2017, investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division executed a Search and Arrest Warrant at a residence in the 2800 block of Chimney Rock. 

The warrant, issued by Justice of the Peace Judge Fred Buck, named 60-year-old Michael C. Satterwhite to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana.  Satterwhite was located during a traffic stop and taken into custody without incident.  

During a search of Satterwhite’s residence and vehicle, investigators located and seized a quantity of marijuana, suspected methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia associated with the distribution of narcotics.  Satterwhite’s vehicle, an H3 Hummer, was seized pending a Chapter 59 Hearing pursuant to forfeiture of contraband. 

Satterwhite was transported to the Tom Green County Jail and charged with Third Degree Felony Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and State Jail Felony Possession of Marijuana.  

The Department’s Patrol Division and K-9 Unit assisted with the operation.

Police Asking for Tips In Recovered, Vandalized Stolen Truck Investigations

This afternoon, two abandoned stolen trucks were recovered near the north side of the Equalization Chanel.  Both trucks’ interiors and exteriors were severely vandalized. 

The first truck, a tan 2017 Ford F150 Platinum Edition, was reported stolen this morning from the 4200 block of Kensington Creek.  The second truck, a black 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, was reported stolen this morning from the 1600 block of Canal Road.

Lakeview Bible Church Blesses Police D.R.E.A.M. Program

This afternoon, Pastor Richard Evans of the Lakeview Bible Church presented San Angelo Police Officials with a check for $1,355.55 to benefit the Department’s D.R.E.A.M. program.  

The funds were raised during a parking event that was held during February’s San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo.  

The Drug Resistance Education and Mentoring (D.R.E.A.M.) Program was developed by the San Angelo Police Department in 2008 to address local needs and concerns affecting the youth in our community.  Topics such as drug abuse and resistance, bullying, internet safety, and peer pressure are just some of the subjects presented by uniformed officers to approximately 1,000 5th grade students each year in public and private schools throughout San Angelo.

Man Arrested on Suspicion of Drunk Driving Charged with Assault on CSI Tech

A 32-year-old San Angelo man charged with Driving While Intoxicated after yesterday evening’s rollover crash on Grape Creek Road is facing an assault charge. 

Nicholas B. Townsend was transported to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance with non-incapacitating injuries following a single-vehicle rollover crash in the 5100 block of Grape Creek Road that occurred just after 5:30 p.m. yesterday.  

Traffic investigators determined Townsend was driving his green 2003 Ford Explorer at an unsafe speed when he lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and collided with a fence on the west side of the road.  The force of the collision caused the SUV to begin to roll and Townsend was ejected.  Failure to control speed and alcohol were listed as contributing factors to the crash. 

Townsend was additionally charged with Assault on a Public Servant for kicking a San Angelo Police Department Crime Scene Tech who was attempting to photograph Townsend’s injuries at Shannon Medical Center.

Street Crimes Arrests On North Magdalen

On Wednesday, May 10, 2017, investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Street Crimes Division executed a Search and Arrest Warrant at a residence in the 200 block of N. Magdalen Street. 

The warrant, issued by Justice of the Peace Judge J.P. McGuire, named 44-year-old Derrick Wayne Roquemore to be in possession of a quantity of heroin.  Roquemore and another subject, 38-year-old Beatriz Vida Bonilla, were located at the residence and detained.  A third subject was interviewed and released. 

During the course of the operation, investigators located and seized suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia. 

Roquemore was charged with an outstanding Motion to Revoke Parole Violation Warrant and Bonilla was charged with State Jail Felony Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 <1G.  Both were transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident. 

The Department’s Patrol Division assisted with the operation.
